Our Founder
Welcome to SMH Engineering! I’m Sandra Moreno-Hernandez, a civil engineer with over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, site development, drainage, and floodplain management. I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master's in Environmental and Civil Engineering. As a registered professional engineer in both Texas and New Mexico, I am dedicated to providing high-quality engineering solutions tailored to your needs, including effective stormwater management.
After spending eight years in the DFW Metroplex, I returned to El Paso in 2007, where I worked as a Senior Project Manager for a local architecture and engineering firm for 11 years. In August 2019, I founded SMH Engineering, LLC to create a firm that values hard work, innovation, and strong client relationships. I believe that effective communication and a collaborative approach are key to successful projects, and I am committed to ensuring that every client feels heard and valued.
